Outfit | Outskirts of Town

Free People hat / Thrifted scarf / UNIQ sweater / ZARA jeans / Thrfited shoes

Oh how I am missing the beautiful California weather. I keep dreaming of the day that i will get to go back while i slowly melt in the 90 degree heat. Summer is already in full force here in Arizona, so it is time to put all my coats and sweaters away. On a side note; I love my sweaters, so you can imagine i am not too thrilled about that. I'm happiest in cool weather and a giant comfortable sweater to live in (Maybe with some hot chocolate too).
During my visit to San Francisco, Alex, Maddy, and I went across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Marin Headlands, where you will find the most breathtaking scenery right next to the city. We were surrounded by beautiful mountains and greenery, and came across quite a few deer. As sunset was approaching we wanted to capture some photos of the beautiful surroundings and the sun's warm rays. I wore a tail sweater and scarf (both which were found at Buffalo Exchange the day prior,) to shield me from the breeze, boyfriend jeans for comfort, and my matador hat and booties to add some dynamic.
Thank you for checking in! Until next time.

Outfit | Sunshine on My Mind

Thrifted button up / Jeffrey Campbell boots / Free People hat / Lucky Brand purse
Photos by: Madeleine Browning

An outfit of the day from my time in San Francisco last month.
There is nothing better than a sunny day in the bay along with some good company. Maddy, Alex, and I paid a visit to The Mill; an adorable little coffee shop with amazing bread, made freshly every morning. I highly recommend it if you ever find yourself on Divisadero! From there we walked to Alamo Square to check out The Painted Ladies (They are famous from the show Full house!) The weather was simply perfect and the grass felt softer than usual. It was all too good for a relaxing day off from road-trip craziness.
I wore my all time favorite Matador hat with this amazing button up i scored for just $8! Gotta love the thrifting in San Francisco, it is by far the best place for vintage/thrift stores, and the prices are truly unbeatable (no wonder i always return home broke). I accessorized with my regular rings and new Jeffrey Campbell Rosie cutout boots!

Outfit | Alleyways & Payphone Calls

// All clothing items were thrifted
Photos by: Alex Kofman and Madeleine Browning

The ultimate thrifted outfit for a breezy San Francisco day.
It is crazy to think Maddy and I's road-trip out West was only three weeks ago, i am already missing California so much. I wore this ensemble on the day following our arrival to San Francisco. We spent the day in the Mission district (my favorite spot in the city,) starting off with breakfast and bottomless mimosa's, passing through Clarion Alley, and spending the rest of the day thrifting on Valencia street. I swear, SF has the best thrift shopping in the world. Maddy can definitely vouch for that. Ultimately I wanted to wear something comfortable to walk around all day in, yet accommodating to the bipolar and unpredictable weather of San Francisco.

The Salvation Mountain is located in Niland, CA. It can be found in the lower desert of Southern California in Imperial County, just east of Salton Sea and about an hour from Palm Springs. Leonard Knight built it as tribute to God and to pass along a simple yet powerful message; Love. The Salvation Mountain is 50 feet in height and was made of local clay and donated paint. Leonard Knight, a New Englander, spent about three decades painting and building this wonderful sculpture. He lived in the back oh his truck, sharing his small space with a large group of cats with no names, in the brutal desert heat and winds. He stated he would not want to live anywhere else. I was sad to hear he passed away back in February at the age of 82.
For those who make the drive out to Southern California, i highly encourage you to pay a visit to The Salvation Mountain. Photos cannot even express how truly amazing and inspiring it is.
"I'm happy here in Slab City
Old Hobo road is dead
Those iron trees and I are the same
We've both got roots so deep"
-Leonard Knight
